"Yes, the $5.8 million proposal was rejected by the voters, but the needs of the fire district still remain. Perhaps it seemed too big a project for our small community when the amount of funding assistance was uncertain. Rather than wait until January to discuss alternatives, could the fire district hold one or more public meetings to discuss the needs and receive suggestions from the voters? I'm sure support would be there for a project we could all agree on"...Bob Agel

There is the monthly District Meeting scheduled for September 10, 2009, at the Fire Station.(I have to confirm the time) This is a public meeting and your suggestion sounds like one that you should present at this meeting...Judy
